Merry Christmas from me to you!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. This is my family's Christmas card. I've always hand drawn our card but this year I wanted to use a family photo, my kids are just to cute to not be shown off in my opinion. I had a lot of fun hand drawing it this year and the entire color scheme was based off of Audrey's dress I purchased on etsy from Simplicity Couture. The dress is adorable in person and looks so cute with the bow tie and suspenders I purchased for Jackson from Petite Peanut.

Thank y'all so much for supporting this little shop of mine. I love to create and knowing that I'm bringing smiles to your faces for your important events just makes my heart shine. I truly appreciate your love of my products and I just wanted to share my simple heartfelt THANK YOU!

Have a wonderful day and many more!

Always,

Vote for the Little Man! A Let's Geaux Party client party

Our client wanted to do a “Little Man” theme to celebrate her son Jack’s first birthday. We wanted to take this theme and put a unique spin on it. Since the party was scheduled for the Saturday before election day we decided to go for a vintage election theme and make “Vote for the Little Man, Your No. 1 Choice” our theme.

INVITATION

The invitations were a 3 inch political button attached to a round invitation. Guests were asked to wear their button in “Support of their No. 1 Candidate”. The buttons featured a picture of Jack wearing a political skimmer hat. The same photo was also used on vintage election posters and yard signs that decorated the party area.

FOOD & DRINK

At the party, guests dined on fried chicken, chicken tenders, mac n cheese and biscuits. To quench their thirst, guests were served bottled root beer with a custom label with the slogan “Root for the Little Man”. For dessert home made apple pies in jars served fresh from the oven with hand stamped wooden spoons were a hit! Cupcakes topped with elephant and donkey fondant toppers from Edible Details were also served. The dessert table also featured a hand painted canvas to match the vintage election decor. The birthday boy was treated to his own patriotic smash cake topped with a custom elephant topper holding a “1″ and wearing a Uncle Sam style hat. Guests were sent home with sugar cookies baked by the residents of Holy Angels, a local training facility serving intellectual and developmentally disabled residents.

DECOR

Decor consisted of white linen tablecloths, topped with blue overlays and individual settings of coloring pages, crayons and skimmer hats for each guest. White mums added a perfect fall touch with red and white daisies on either side and flags waving proudly. Vintage election posters were nailed to trees and hung around the event and balloons are always required! This time we found red and blue balloons with white stars – but we also took clear balloons and stuffed them with star confetti before inflating them.

ACTIVITIES

The Bayou Choo Choo train thrilled the children with rides on the beautiful Saturday morning. Other activities for the children were patriotic coloring sheets and a jump house.
The “Little Man” was voted the No. 1 candidate by a landslide and everyone on both sides of the aisle had a great time congratulating him!

Gift Picks for Him and Her

1. Personalized Cutting Board from Jennifers Cookies 2. Whisky Stones from Uncommon Goods 3. Ties from Petit Peanut 4. Beer Carrier from Coldcreek Brewing 5. Old Fashioned Glasses from Mignot Faget

The men in my life can be so hard to shop for. I've picked out a few gifts I'm sure they would love and I hope yours will like as well. All my men enjoy grilling and drinking and at least with these gifts they can be fashionable in doing so, because that's what they care about right, haha! My favorites are the whisky stones (such a cool concept) and the Mignot Faget glasses. My husband received the Louisiana glasses as a gift for his birthday and they are quite beautiful.
1. Personalized Travel Mug from Magnolia Creative Co. 2. CLUTCHES! Yellow and White from Emily Ley and Leather from Preppy and Pink 3. Monogram Necklaces from Mimosa by Me 4. Scarf from Layla Grace

Women can be equally hard to shop for but these gifts I know will appease even the most discerning taste. Every lady loves a monogram! I ADORE these clutches and own the green one from Preppy and Pink and I ordered the yellow one shown from Oatmeal and Lace for Emily Ley. I am anxiously awaiting it's delivery! A personalized travel mug is perfect for any woman on the go as is a beautiful scarf that can dress up and add a punch of color to any outfit. The bronze necklaces from Mimosa by Me are a personal favorite (she's my sister-in-law and the unfinished bronze one is mine - squeal!) They are elegant and will surly be a treasured gift! Every girl loves makeup and special little treats for herself and Birchbox provides this monthly. If you have not looked into this company you should. For $10 a month you get a fun little box mailed to you with new samples - a Merry Christmas to yourself each month perhaps ;)

Happy Shopping!

Gift Picks for Kids

1. Chalkboard Birthday Plate from Magnolia Creative Co. 2. Name Crayons from Color Me Fun  3. Super Hero Cape from Land of the Nod  4. Lunch Box from Sweet Mady 5. Nativity Set from Craft That Party 6. Letter Blocks from Dwell on Layla Grace 7. Personalized Foldable Tee Pee from Love Lime Kids 8. Wooden Kitchen from Willow Toys 9. Felt Fruit from Little Fruits

Kids can be so much fun and so hard to shop for at the same time. I put together a list of my favorite gifts for kids this holiday season.

Our Chalkboard Birthday Plate makes a great gift year round and the chalkboard rim makes it easy to customize for your child year after year. We can even paint their favorite theme or design instead of a cupcake!.  My children LOVE art and most kids love their name on anything so these Name Crayons from Color Me Fun are perfect! As a design geek myself these Letter Blocks from Dwell on Layla Grace scream buy me. Who wouldn't want to expose their child to different typefaces!

Gifts like this adorable Super Hero Cape from Land of the Nod or a personalized Lunch Box from Sweet Mady are great no matter if it's a boy or girl. My daughter has one of their lunch boxes and I personally couldn't be more pleased, I just wish I had found it two years ago! Imaginative play is great for kids.  A Personalized Foldable Tee Pee from Love Lime Kids or this Wooden Kitchen from Willow Toys are something they will love year after year and treasure when it's passed down to their children. Don't forget to throw in some Felt Fruit or other goodies from Little Fruits for extra cooking fun!

For a holiday themed gift this hand painted  Nativity Set from Craft That Party. I ordered one for my two little ones and they love them!

I hope this list can help you find some great gifts for the little ones in your life.
